You're invited to the 'Garden Party' of the year. When browsing Style.com for inspiration... I came across the 2011 Resort Collections. I couldn't help but notice a popular theme within some of the collections. Stella McCartney and Kenzo designed beautiful resort-wear with a modern twist on the traditional floral print. They made their clothes look like they had just walked out of a glamourous tea party, so fabulous that only the Mad Hatter could have hosted such an event. While, I know it is only October and it is a bit early to think of what to wear for the spring season, I believe everyone should add a touch of tea party to their winter wardrobe- whether its a ring, gloves or even a broche.
Its never too early to prep for this upcoming party.

Even Betty Draper, from Mad Men, is sporting the Garden Party trend.

Style Icon: Alexa Chung

The British are Coming!

I first heard of British style icon, Alexa Chung, last year and since then I have found her to be one of my ultimate style icons. With her carefree, lady-like, vintage rocker personal style... I figure she just about covers every aspect I love about fashion. If you like what you see, I recommend checking out J Crew's new brand 'Madewell'. She is a spokeswoman and designer for the new brand. I admire her skill of matching different prints and textures into her everyday outfits. I also like how she can work any silhouette and does it with a unique flare.

Fave Pieces from 'Alexa Chung for Madewell'

Betty Tea Dress $188

Iris Blouse $110

Billie Velvet Shorts $88

Thank you, Alexa, for sharing your fabulous style with the world.
I look forward to seeing what you come up with next!

Happy Fall!

Even though living in Los Angeles has its perks... I definitely miss the seasons from Colorado. When looking for creative ideas, for my roommate and I, to decorate our apartment with this fall... I took a glance at Anthropologie's blog site. Where I found these pretty darn cute looking pumpkins. Brought to you by the 'Thompson Family Blog', these little guys can brighten any room and add a sense of Autumn ambiance to any casual holiday party.

Fall To-Do:

1. Attend a scary movie at Outdoor Cinema Food Fest... (with picnic and blankets and wine... of course)
2. Make a batch of pumpkin cookies... (from scratch...)
3. Check out the Rose Bowl Flea Market.
4. Spend a day photographing anything and everything fabulous across Hollywood and Downtown LA.
5. Bring my bike out from CO and ride down Melrose Avenue... (and Rodeo... and Sunset...)
6. People watch at 'Le Petit Four' on Sunset Blvd.
7. Go on more hikes with Maggie in Runyon Canyon.
8. Get a drink at the Roosevelt Hotel.
9. Find another job to pay for this To-Do list.
10. Spend a few hours a week relaxing, from job searching, with a coffee (and cupcake!)

( More to come... :) )

Cover Fanatic- The True Hollywood... Glamour- Anne Hathaway

Vogue November Issue- Anne Hathaway

Audrey Hepburn, 'Breakfast at Tiffany's'

Anne Hathaway channeling the infamous Audrey Hepburn

When gazing at the magazine stand, I couldn't help but notice this years November Vogue issue. I was drawn to the warm colors and I had to do a double take when I noticed it was Anne Hathaway conquering the cover! I was so use to her 'Princess Diaries' days... who knew how grown up she has become! This Parisian photo shoot proved that she is not a little girl anymore.
Miss Hathaway has taken an elegant leap into womanhood.
Also, being a huge fan of fashion photographer Mario Testino, I felt like this shoot could do no wrong.
I absolutely love the dramatic shots he took and how the distant angles make the looks even more soft and romantic. Not to mention Anne Hathaway and how she pulls of the structured gowns exquisitely. Well done Vogue, well done.
Mario Testino, Fashion Photographer

NEW FROM ANNE: Anne Hathaway stars as the alluring free-spirit, Maggie Murdock, in this romantic comedy, out November 24th. Co-staring in this film is the ever-so-handsome Jake Gyllenhaal.
